This site was first born in March 2004 as half of a site called, BRIT ACTS; the other half was a Sean Bean site. Unfortunately it became too much work for me to continue running both sites and so in August 2004 I closed down the fan site, thinking I'd never want to open another fan site again. But in September 2004 I realised I'd been a bit hasty in my decision and thought that I'd like to re-open the Joe section of the site, only this time make it bigger and better. As a site standing alone I knew I could make it better than what it had been and also it would be less work for me.
My aim for the site is for it to be biggest and most accurate Joe Absolom site online. There isn't, to my knowledge, any other Joe Absolom fan site on the 'net and when I went searching for information on what he was doing and what programmes I could see him in I found nothing. Me being me wanted to rectify that. And so was born "Meant-To."
The name of the site -- "Meant-To" -- comes from my favourite song of the moment: GREEN DAY'S "American Idiot". I actually struggled with finding a name but I finally decided on Meant-To because I think it can have so many different meanings.
This site is run single-handedly by me, Ys. I am one of these strange people who loves running websites but actually hates the internet and being "online". I know that's probably a contradiction but that's just me.
I am always looking for more content for the site and with Joe being relatively unknown I am always very grateful for any help anyone can offer. So, don't be shy: send me an email full of news, articles, pictures, suggestions or just opinions.
There is no tag-board or forum on the site as of yet mainly due to the fact that I've had a bad experience with hosting such things on previous sites. So unless there's a big demand for either I don't think they'll ever find their way onto the site.
