Pete and Lydia Gray's happy life with their son Max is turned upside down when he vanishes during his 4th birthday party at Kids Fun World. The police are called and the couple's worst fears are confirmed when a witness reports seeing a boy of Max's age being carried out of the adjoining shopping centre by a young man. On the way, the boy dropped a toy rabbit - proof that it was Max.
